Overview description

Tajima Highland Botanical Garden, located in Torokawadaira (# 1 in Hyogo Prefecture's Top 100 Tourist Attractions), which is blessed with rich plants and spring water.

It is a natural botanical garden with one of the largest vegetation in Japan, with an area of 17ha, a spring of 5,000 tons per day, and a huge wig of 1,000 years old.

Inside the botanical garden

In the garden, you can see about 2,000 kinds of native trees and plants, and about 300 kinds of similar plants. In addition, because there are three ponds, insects such as butterflies, dragonflies, and beetles also inhabit and are also pleasing to children.

Marsh marigold（ Yamanaukinka）, White arum（ Mizubasho）, Asian skunk cabbage（ Zazensou）,Hepatica（ Yukiwarisou）.

Yamafuji, which blooms on the plateau, has a deep mauve color and complements the ground cover of Murasagigoke.
Because the flower season of wisteria is short, you can see this beautiful sight only for a short period of time.

About Katsura tree

About the water

"Katsura's Millennial Water", which cultivates many organisms and goes to the botanical garden, has been cherished since ancient times, with high-quality water springing up all year round from the corner of Torokawadaira, located in the middle of Mt. Torokawa (1,039 m).
It is said that the Katsura tree gathers this water, and 5,000 tons of natural water springs out from the root of the giant tree now.
The water temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius all year round, and it does not rot because it is sterile.

The water is soft water, and there is no extra taste, and it is mellow, You can make coffee, make whiskey water splitr, or cook rice to make quite delicious.
This deliciousness cannot be expressed in words.
Because it is gentle on the skin, it is said to be suitable for baby's hot water.
There are also cups near the tree so that you can drink it in the garden, and you can also take away plastic bottles.
There is a vending machine on the road in front of the botanical garden, and you can buy 20 liters for 100 yen.
